A newly engaged young woman came to us from Private Detectives Agency in Liverpool in the hope of finding the birth mother she had never seen. The client had been given up for adoption at birth and as the agreement was closed had never been given any details of her mother’s life or whereabouts. After recently becoming engaged the client had felt the renewed desire to find her birth mother and have her at her upcoming wedding.

The investigation began with the very limited details that the client had managed to obtain from her adopted parents. Most of these details were from memory and so needed verification before any further steps were taken. Once the information was gathered there was enough material for our operatives to run a series of checks on the individual. Records were found that indicated that the target had lived abroad in Spain since giving up the client for adoption but that she had recently returned to the country and was living in a small village in Devon. Using the address we found the client requested that we go to the address and use surveillance to gather some footage of the target in the hope of assessing her character and lifestyle.

We presented the client with a full report of the findings which included both video and photographic material that allowed her to see her birth mother for the first time. Followig the investigation the client decided to make contact with the individual and they are now working on developing their relationship.
